We'll meet for breakfast at 7AM and then photograph the historic Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Train and it heads north from Durango through the Animas Valley. We'll then travel through the spectacular scenery as we head towards Silverton where we'll photograph the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow-Gauge train as it comes through the narrow gorge into town. After lunch we'll wander the streets of Silverton for a while, which is a National Historic District and at one time was known as one of the toughest towns of the west. Then we'll follow the Million Dollar Highway through the awesome Uncompreghe Gorge to Ouray then to Ridgway, where we'll spend the afternoon  among groves of golden aspen with the 14,000 ft. peaks of the Sneffels Range as a backdrop. We'll spend tonight and tomorrow night in Ridgway.

Tuesday, September 30
We'll greet sunrise along the Dallas Divide, one of the most photographed fall scenes in the Rockies. Then we'll follow small, winding roads heading into the Sneffels Range through more groves of golden and red Aspens. After lunch we'll return for more of the same until sunset.

Wednesday, October 1
We'll head back towards Durango this morning, shooting more stunning scenery and ghost-towns along the way. Thursday, October 2
After breakfast we'll head towards Mesa Verde and the famous cliff dwellings of Cliff Palace, Spruce Tree House, Balcony House, and others where we'll spend the day.

Friday, October 3

We'll have a leisure morning wandering the streets of Durango where there are always photo opportunities, and especially since this the week of Fiesta Days. After lunch we'll head west into La Plata Canyon for more summer mountain scenery.

Saturday, October 4
The Cowboy Poetry Gathering Parade is at 10 AM this morning, and there are always opportunities to photograph cowboys on their horses, old stagecoaches, and all the things that go along with an old-time parade. The best shooting is actually prior to the parade so we'll plan to gather around 8AM. After the parade everyone heads towards home with lots of memories and photographs.
